Dr. Jesús De Loera

Dr. Jesús A. De Loera is Professor of Mathematics at the University of California, Davis.
He is a fellow of the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) (opens new window), the American Mathematical Society (AMS) (opens new window), and a past recipient of the INFORMS Computing Society Prize.
De Loera is devoted to STEM education and popularization of mathematics. He has received multiple teaching and mentoring awards in both undergraduate and graduate education. He regards math as playful, very useful, and of interest to all.
